Highway Code

The Highway Code is the definitive guide to everything road related.

The entire driving test system is based upon the Highway Code. So too are laws, rules and regulations.

The Highway Code applies to every driver, be it that the vehicle is a bicycle, motorcycle, car, van, truck or bus.

It should also be mentioned that the Highway Code gets updated every few years. Something that may have been allowed gets banned for instance.

In April 2006, a copy of the Highway Code could be purchased for around £1.50 so there really is no reason why every driver should not have one.

Finally, there is a Highway Code Welsh edition and a Highway Code Northern Ireland edition available.
